IN LIEU OF COFFEE

The two-week Winter break has started for the children on this last Friday of school when they were released earlier than usual.

My son and I spent the remainder of the day driving around to buy snacks for our trip before I dropped him off at his father’s place to spend the night. Then I went back to buy more snacks and supplies that we had forgot earlier, when we left the shopping list at home.

The decision was not a difficult one. Buy a fancy espresso machine or make memories with two of my children overseas. Going on a trip in lieu of coffee at home is always a better choice. Besides, there are plenty of great coffee shops where we will be going.
