STAYING HOME

I was grateful to have had time to spend rethinking plans. And reading. A Sunday at home. For most of the day.

I made puffy pancake for our special breakfast. The version with four eggs. My son stated that he loved the addition of poppy seeds. There were no fresh berries as we usually have, but we had freshly whipped cream. Lemon zest and lemon juice also topped our puffy pancake. And Nutella for my son.

Besides the brief venture to take my daughters back to their father’s house after having been dropped off at my place by their friend’s mom, I enjoyed the time at home.

My son enjoyed staying home as well. Having the chance to work on his Minecraft world where he is building a mansion in a neighbourhood with a cul-de-sac and planning to build more houses nearby.

Not every weekend needs to be filled with activities. Always doing something or going from one place to another. Sometimes there is a simple pleasure in just staying home.
