Hi.

Welcome to my blog. I document my adventures in my everyday life. Home, travel, food, lifestyle.

LUCKY THIS TIME

LUCKY THIS TIME

‘Do you think I want to ruin my outfit with a purse?’ I heard my daughter exclaim as we hurried back towards Hollister.

If this had been the first time, I would have had more understanding. But this is a common occurrence with my middle daughter. Leaving her wallet, and sometimes her phone, simply lying somewhere as she browses clothes or leaves her seat. As was the case last summer when she went to Cancun with her father and siblings and she left her phone on a shuttle.

In today’s case, I saw her phone and wallet lying on a table of clothes displayed in the back of Hollister’s store as she was browsing the sale rack.

‘Don’t leave your phone and wallet there’, I warned her. She had picked them up at one point before I walked away to look at other clothes.

Upon leaving Hollister, we walked a short distance to Garage where I saw her leave her phone on a pair of red pants displayed on a table. I didn’t think about the wallet but a few minutes later, my daughter realised her wallet was missing.

‘You’re kidding me?!’, I thought she was joking as she sometimes does. The look of panic slowly started to take over as we browsed all of the display tables. It was nowhere in sight.

The only other option was Hollister. I left with my daughter, leaving my older daughter and son behind. We went directly to the back of the store, but the wallet was not there. Finally, I decided to ask the salesperson behind the counter if a wallet had been found. I sensed a spark of hope as she looked towards a drawer in front of her.

‘Is this the one?’ she asked.

‘Yes! Thank you!’ I exclaimed and put the wallet in my purse after my daughter made sure everything was there.

‘There’s not much in there’, she said.

‘You were lucky this time’, but I knew this would not be the last time this would happen.
