Hi.

Welcome to my blog. I document my adventures in my everyday life. Home, travel, food, lifestyle.

ALL THREE

ALL THREE

It was not planned. It was not expected. Like many things in life, we need to learn to adapt as best we can. As quickly as we can. To make something good out of something that we might see as not an ideal situation.

Though I had other plans for my weekend, I was glad to hear that the girls would be coming to stay with me for the next two nights. I would be taking my younger daughter to work tomorrow and her sister will be going to wait for her at or around her work during that time. On Sunday, the plan is to take my younger daughter to get two piercings. It’s a teenage thing, she tells me, and both her father and I already agreed she can get it done.

My son, on the other hand, felt displaced when they arrived. He has gotten used to having his own space in his own room this past year and a half that now he seemingly has a difficult time sharing. I reminded him that it is rare these days for me to have all three of them together with me. That I am one person trying to divide my attention three ways. That he needs to share his space and make them feel welcome. After all, I explained that our place is their home as well.

My older daughter brought her light machine with her so she could have a feeling of being in her room like at her father’s house. The lights displayed on the walls all around was beautiful to see. All the while, I enjoyed listening to my daughters catching me up on their lives. And my older daughter showing me ideas for her 16th birthday next month. Sage does not understand how his sisters can talk about clothes so much. I told him that one day he will have to try.

Although I will have all three with me for only two short days, I will attempt to make the best out of those days. In addition, I hope to be able to see them more often in the coming months. Certainly, the past year I never imagined this day would come, but things change in life. Unexpectedly. We just need to be ready to change with them. To not worry so much. To make the best out of what has been given to us. And to always be grateful for everything. No matter how insignificant we think it is. In time, things will work out.
