Hi.

Welcome to my blog. I document my adventures in my everyday life. Home, travel, food, lifestyle.

TRAVEL NOTES::DAY 2 | PROVISIONS AND SUCH

The clock told me it was already 10 in the morning. I was surprised at how long I had slept in but I should not have been as I had travelled overseas many times before and had the same experience with jetlag.

My son was still sleeping for at least another hour after I awoke. By the time we got ready for the day and left the flat it was past noon. Coffee and a scone were first on our list today. We walked over to New Town to Wellington Coffee and enjoyed a scone with cream and jam with a flat white. Afterwards we walked over to Lakeland only to discover that the 5" push pans were discontinued. I am guessing small cakes are on their way out and to be replaced by 'normal' sized cakes once again.

Then we made our way to Real Foods for provisions. Dried borlotti beans, pasta, oats, walnuts, blue poppy seeds, flour, sugar, and more. All in the hopes that I will actually make what I planned to make. The backpack on my back was heavy along with my sling camera bag which hung in front. It was time to go back to the flat to empty the backpack.

I.J. Mellis cheese shop was next. They had bread this time so we bought a loaf along with Isle of Mull Cheddar and another type of cheddar which the French sounding lady suggested.
